Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)

Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.

Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 8.8. Visitor paratransit service.
    (a) Upon certifying that a person is eligible to receive complementary paratransit services under 49 CFR Part 37, Subpart F or within 10 business days after receiving a certified person's request for documentation of eligibility for those services, a district shall provide the person with documentation of the person's certification of eligibility for those services.
    (b) If a person provides a district with documentation of the person's certification of eligibility to receive complementary paratransit services under 49 CFR Part 37, Subpart F, then the district shall provide those services to the person within one business day after receiving the documentation.
    (c) The procedures used by a district to document a person's certification of eligibility for complementary paratransit services under 49 CFR Part 37, Subpart F shall not require the disclosure or recording of any specific information about an individual's disability.
