HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Daniel "Danny" Fortuna on 
4becoming President of the National
Conference of Public 
5Employee Retirement Systems; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Daniel Fortuna served as a fire fighter for the 
7Chicago
Fire Department from November 16, 1978  to March 15, 
82008; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Daniel Fortuna worked for Chicago Fire Fighters 
10Local Union 2 as a
Steward from 1999 to 2008, and as Director 
11of Public Relations
from 1999 to 2008; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Daniel Fortuna is currently the District 1 
13Vice-President of the
Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Daniel Fortuna currently serves on the Illinois 
15Fire Fighter
Medal of Honor Committee; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Daniel Fortuna is currently an elected board 
17member of the
National Conference on Public Employee Retirement 
18Systems; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Daniel Fortuna will become the President of the

1National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems on 
2May 18, 2016; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5congratulate Daniel "Danny" Fortuna on becoming President of 
6the National
Conference of Public Employee Retirement Systems 
7and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Daniel Fortuna as a symbol of our respect and 
11esteem.
