HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of  Brenda 
4Louise Davis, who passed away on September 26, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was born on April 29, 1951 in East 
6St. Louis; her parents were Odie F. George, Sr. and Marlene 
7Lofton; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was employed as a Certified Nursing 
9Assistant at the Beacon Hill Retirement Home in Downers Grove 
10and worked for many years as a caregiver; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist 
12Church of East St. Louis and was baptized at an early age; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Brenda Davis enjoyed traveling, making various 
14crafts, and her plants; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was preceded in death by her father; 
16her husband, Charles L. Davis; and her brother, Eugene "Dicky" 
17George; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Brenda Davis was the mother of Darren L. George 
19(Laura), Carol C. Ammons (Aaron), and Svetlana "Pat" Moore; the

1grandmother of Titianna, Aeriel, Jelani, Zharia, Charity, 
2Amir, Ebony, and Maya; the great-grandmother of Jalil; the 
3daughter of Marlene Merchant; the sister of Odie F. George, Jr. 
4(Christine), Marcia A. Bowman-Williams (Mack), Maxine Mitchell 
5(Ricky), Freda T. George-Johnson (Van), Felicia R. 
6George-Atkinson (Curtis), and Greta Hall (Charles); and the 
7aunt of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of 
11Brenda Louise Davis; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Brenda Davis as an expression of our 
14sympathy.
