<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>720 ILCS 5/16-30</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>815 ILCS 505/2Z</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 121 1/2, par. 262Z</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Creates the Fire Alarm Service Professional Licensing Act. Provides for the licensure of fire alarm contractors, designers, installers, technicians, and agencies. Authorizes the State Fire Marshal to implement the Act. Includes provisions concerning the powers and duties of the State Fire Marshal, licensing requirements, and designated certified person requirements. Establishes requirements for the installation, repair, inspection, and testing of fire alarm systems. Authorizes the State Fire Marshal to establish fees and continuing education requirements. Sets forth grounds for disciplinary action, criminal and civil penalties for violations of the Act, and administrative procedure. Provides that fines and fees collected under the Act shall be deposited into the Fire Prevention Fund. Makes conforming changes in the Criminal Code of 2012 and the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Preempts home rule.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
