<SynopsisText>     Asks Congress to pass Trade Promotion Authority and urges the United States Trade Representative to conclude the negotiations and recommend ratification of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership also known as T-TIP.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Floor Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the heading with similar language. Removes a reference to Trade Promotion Authority laws enacted by Congress. Removes language concerning the number of jobs created throughout the nation by free trade agreements in 2013. Moves language concerning the economic benefits of free trade agreements for the State of Illinois. Removes language concerning various goals of the T-TIP agreement. Removes language concerning the economic barriers that the United States faces in the European Union and the benefits of removing those barriers. Adds language concerning the requirements that must be met in any "Fast Track" or Trade Promotion Authority legislation filed before Congress. Urges Congress to use its authority under Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution, to "regulate Commerce with foreign Nations" if any "Fast Track" or "Trade Promotion Authority" legislation fails to meet the aforementioned requirements. Urges the United States Trade Representative to negotiate the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership in a fair and transparent way that will have a positive impact on the United States trade balance.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
