Provides that the Department of State Police and the State's Attorneys of this State shall establish a gun trade-in program in which events are held in each county of this State, once per year in each county, to buy back from any person a firearm, gun, rifle, shotgun, or other similar weapon for a nominal fee. The Department of State Police and representatives of the State's Attorney who are present at a Gun Buyback Program event shall not question any person regarding the documentation of the firearm, gun, rifle, shotgun, or other similar weapon presented, such as if the person has a valid firearm owner's identification card or concealed carry license, or request proper registration for the firearm, gun, rifle, shotgun, or other similar weapon.
