<reference>40 ILCS 5/8-251</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 8-251</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Chicago Municipal Article of the Illinois Pension Code. In a provision concerning the forfeiture of benefits due to a felony conviction relating to or arising out of or in connection with a participant's service as a municipal employee, provides that any refund required under the Chicago Municipal Article shall be calculated based on that person's contributions to the Fund, less the amount of any annuity benefit previously received by the person or his or her beneficiaries. Provides that the changes in the amendatory Act apply only to felony convictions or pleas of guilty to a felony entered on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
