<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>105 ILCS 5/1C-1</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>105 ILCS 5/14-7.02b</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>105 ILCS 5/14-7.05</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>105 ILCS 5/18-8.05</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>105 ILCS 5/Art. 1D rep.</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Creates the Continuing Appropriation for Education Act to require a Common School Fund recommendation by the Governor in the annual budget and annual Common School Fund appropriations by the General Assembly sufficient to fund general State aid and to require an irrevocable and continuing appropriation if the General Assembly fails to make sufficient Common School Fund appropriations. Amends the School Code. Removes language that provides that the Block Grants Article does not apply to the Chicago school district, repeals the Block Grants for Chicago Article, and makes related changes. Amends the State aid formula provisions to provide that the Foundation Level of support amount for the 2016-2017 school year and each school year thereafter is equal to the Foundation Level of support amount for the previous school year increased by 2%. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
