Makes related changes.House Floor Amendment No. 1 Provides that any person having custody or control of a child to whom notice has been given of the child's truancy and who knowingly and willfully permits the child to persist in his or her truancy within a school year may (rather than must) be required, upon a finding by the school board of a violation of the truancy provisions, to complete a parent education course, undergo family counseling, or engage in another support service as agreed upon by the person having custody or control of the child and the school board (rather than just complete a parent education course or undergo family counseling).Land Conveyance Appraisal Note (Dept. of Transportation) No land conveyances are included in this legislation, therefore, there are no appraisals to be filed. Judicial Note (Admin Office of the Illinois Courts) This bill would neither increase nor decrease the number of judges needed in the State.
