Provides that a park district may employ auxiliary police officers and use auxiliary police officers when it is impractical for members of the regular park district police force to perform their normal and regular police duties. Provides that the auxiliary officers may not carry firearms without permission of the chief of police. Provides for hiring and training requirements for the auxiliary officers. Further provides that the Line of Duty Compensation Act shall be applicable to auxiliary officers upon their death in the line of duty.
