<reference>430 ILCS 65/13.1</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 83-13.1</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Provides that a home rule county may not regulate, license, restrict the possession of, or require registration for, firearms and firearm ammunition. Provides that a home rule county may not regulate the transportation of firearms or firearm ammunition. Provides that these are exclusive powers and functions of the State. Provides that any ordinance or regulation, or portion thereof, enacted on, before, or after the effective date of the amendatory Act that purports to impose regulations or restrictions on firearms or firearm ammunition in any manner is invalid on the effective date of the amendatory Act. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
