| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of John F. Schoknecht of Waukegan, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on November 14, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, John Schoknecht was born on November 9, 1952 in | ||||||
| 6 | Waukegan; his parents were Jerry and Joan (nee Akins) | ||||||
| 7 | Schoknecht; he married the love of his life, Judy Watt, on | ||||||
| 8 | November 27, 1971; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, John Schoknecht graduated from Waukegan Township | ||||||
| 10 | High School in 1970; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, John Schoknecht was employed at the Fred W. Losch | ||||||
| 12 | Beverage Company, Commonwealth Edison, the Motorola | ||||||
| 13 | Corporation, and Oak Grove School District 68; he was also a | ||||||
| 14 | founding member of North Beach Vans; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, John Schoknecht loved muskie fishing in Hayward, | ||||||
| 16 | Wisconsin and hunting; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, John Schoknecht was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 18 | father; his maternal grandparents, Lewis and Norene Akins; his | ||||||
| 19 | paternal grandparents, Elizabeth Schoknecht Rasdon and | ||||||
| 20 | Frederick Schoknecht; his in-laws, Art and Gladys Watt; and his | ||||||

| 1 | beloved hunting dogs, Askhim, Harry, and Askhim II; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, John Schoknecht is survived by his wife, Judy; his | ||||||
| 3 | beloved dog, Chip; his mother; 2 sisters, Jill S. Costa and | ||||||
| 4 | Janet (Kevin) Hoff; a brother-in-law, Bob (Nancy) Watt; a | ||||||
| 5 | sister-in-law, Tina (Steve) White; aunts and uncles, Ron | ||||||
| 6 | (Carol) Akins, Betty Lou (Glenn) Herberger, and Dick (Edna) | ||||||
| 7 | Akins; nephews and nieces, Jerry Costa, Toni Costa, Diane (Dan) | ||||||
| 8 | Miles, Brian Hoff, Shawn (Michelle) Watt, Chris Watt, Heather | ||||||
| 9 | Watt, Steven White, and Christopher White; 6 great-nephews and | ||||||
| 10 | great-nieces; and his many cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 13 | family and friends, mourn the passing of John F. Schoknecht; | ||||||
| 14 | and be it further

| 15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 16 | presented to the family of John Schoknecht as an expression of | ||||||
| 17 | our sympathy.
