SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Barbara Ann Nelson of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on September 7, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Barbara Nelson was born on October 15, 1933 in 
6Gladstone, Michigan; her parents were Fred and Anna Brassick; 
7she married Richard H. Nelson on April 5, 1952; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Barbara Nelson graduated from Gladstone High 
9School in 1951; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Barbara Nelson spent most of her life as a 
11homemaker; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Barbara Nelson was a member of St. Anastasia 
13Parish; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Barbara Nelson was preceded in death by 2 sons, 
15David S. Nelson (1954) and David S. Nelson (2007); her parents; 
16and a sister, Rosalind Gerau; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Barbara Nelson is survived by her husband of 62 
18years, Richard; 4 children, Michael R. (Mary) Nelson, Ronald G. 
19(Maria) Nelson, Curt F. Nelson, and Sandra A. (D. Tien) Do; a

1sister, Betty Harrison; and many grandchildren and 
2great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Barbara Ann Nelson; 
6and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Barbara Nelson as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
