SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Donald A. "Uncle Don" Barrows of North 
4Chicago, who passed away on October 7, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Barrows was born on August 23, 1932; his 
6parents were Vincent and Theresa Barrows; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Donald Barrows retired from the North Chicago 
8Police Department at the rank of sergeant after many years of 
9service; in his later years, he was an entrepreneur; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Donald Barrows was preceded in death by his 
11parents; 2 brothers, Leon and Bob; and a sister, Patricia 
12Thiel; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, Donald Barrows is survived by his wife of 53 
14years, Nancy; 2 stepsons, Joe Culat and Mike (Jan) Culat; 2 
15grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Jack (Mary Ann) 
16Barrows; and 2 sisters, Eileen Smith and Joanne (Chester) 
17Chase; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
20family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald A. "Uncle Don"

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
