SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Betty Lou Mohan of McHenry, who passed 
4away on October 13, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Betty Mohan was born on June 14, 1921 in St. Paul, 
6Minnesota; her parents were Murray and Violet (nee Hall) Feuer; 
7she was a resident of McHenry County for over 40 years; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Betty Mohan was a member of The Church of Holy 
9Apostles in McHenry; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Betty Mohan was an avid bridge player and enjoyed 
11dancing throughout her lifetime; she was also an avid golfer 
12and a longtime member of the McHenry Country Club and its 
13Hole-In-One Club; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Betty Mohan was preceded in death by her parents; 
15her husband, John "Jack" Mohan; 2 brothers, Murray and Owen; 
16and a sister, Maxine; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Betty Mohan is survived by 2 children, Judy (Dan) 
18Gallagher and Mary Beth (John) Bromfield; 9 grandchildren, Erin 
19(Mike) Smith, Peggy (Brian) Truckenbrod, Daniel (Kelly) 
20Gallagher, Kevin (Gina) Gallagher, Stephen Gallagher, John

7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Betty Lou Mohan; and 
10be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Betty Mohan as an expression of our 
13sympathy.
