SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Lucy W. Wallace of Marengo, who passed 
4away on October 18, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace was born on April 28, 1925 in 
6Belvidere; her parents were Nicholas and Agnes (nee Anderson) 
7West; she married Charles W. Wallace on August 21, 1947 in the 
8Old Stone Church in Rockton; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace attended Marengo schools and Lake 
10Forest College; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace worked as a legal secretary in the 
12law department of the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in 
13Chicago; she later worked for a law firm in Elgin; she also 
14worked at the Wallace Insurance Agency in Marengo for many 
15years; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace was a member of the First 
17Presbyterian Church of Marengo; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace enjoyed taking many trips throughout 
19the United States with her husband; and

1    WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace was preceded in death by her parents 
2and her husband; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Lucy Wallace is survived by a daughter, Patricia 
4Wallace; 3 nephews, James (Sandy) Carmichael, Chuck (Barbara) 
5Carmichael, and Greg Carmichael; a niece, Jane Montgomery; and 
6several great-nephews and great-nieces; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Lucy W. Wallace; and 
10be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Lucy Wallace as an expression of our 
13sympathy.
