SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth Joseph Prazak of Norfork, Arkansas, formerly of McHenry, who passed away on September 29, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Prazak was born on October 1, 1948 to Joseph C. and Agnes (nee Slechta) Prazak; he married Susan Bitterman at St. Patrick Catholic Church in McHenry on April 19, 1969; he served with the United States Coast Guard from 1968 to 1972; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Prazak was a resident of McHenry for 38 years; he retired from the City of McHenry in June of 2000 after serving 28 years as a police officer with the McHenry Police Department; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Prazak was a resident of Norfork, Arkansas for the past 14 years; he was a former member of McHenry Moose Lodge #691 and enjoyed playing and coaching softball with his softball team, "Last Call"; while his daughters were growing up, he also coached the Pigtail League; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Prazak was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law and mother-in-law; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Prazak is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan; 3 daughters, Tracy (Frank Romano) Jaramillo, Heather (Shane) Krumweide, and Nicole Prazak; 7 grandchildren, Kandice, Shannon, Shane, Samantha, Alex, Kenny, and Zion; a great-grandson, Kaleb; a great-granddaughter, Jayden; a brother, Donald (Anna) Prazak; and a sister, Jollynn (Michael) Crouse; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kenneth Joseph Prazak, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Prazak as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
