SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Devin Alan Rahn of Lake in the Hills, who 
4passed away on August 14, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Devin Rahn was born in Arlington Heights on May 5, 
61988 to Mark and Elke (nee Bove) Rahn; he was a 2006 graduate 
7of Harry D. Jacobs High School and a graduate of Iowa State 
8University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Devin Rahn worked in the tire department at Costco 
11in Lake in the Hills for 5 years during college; he was an 
12amateur comedian and co-founder of the Dead End Comedy Club at 
13the Penny Road Pub in Barrington; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Devin Rahn enjoyed playing the guitar and watching 
15and creating funny videos; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, Devin Rahn is survived by his parents; paternal 
17grandparents, Richard and Shirley Rahn; brother and sisters, 
18Corey, Markie, and Alexandra; many aunts, uncles and cousins; 
19and childhood friends, Mark Smith and Brian Smith; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Devin Alan Rahn, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Devin Rahn as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
