SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Walter William Stapleton of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on August 29, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Stapleton was born on November 8, 1937 in 
6North Lake, Wisconsin and became a Waukegan resident in 1970; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Walter Stapleton was a Vietnam War veteran; he 
9retired from the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant 
10and then worked at Great Lakes Naval Base as a computer 
11operator; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Walter Stapleton was a member of the Winthrop 
13Harbor Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Club; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Walter Stapleton is survived by 4 children, John 
15(Michele) Stapleton, Joseph (Cathy) Stapleton, Denise (Jason) 
16Hardt, and Courtney (Keith) Stapleton; 4 sisters, Geraldine 
17Drews, Elvira Kopshinsky, Joann (Bob) Webb, and Charlotte 
18Spengler; 12 grandchildren, Annaliza, Cordelle, Anastiza, 
19Keith, LaKierra, Jessica, Alexis, Jason, Jr., Amanda, Caitlin, 
20Justin, and Camille; 2 great-grandchildren, McKenzie and 
21Vanessa; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Walter William 
4Stapleton; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Walter Stapleton as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
