SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas Albert Helmkamp of Beach Park, who 
4passed away on August 17, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Helmkamp was born on March 25, 1952 to Al 
6and Shirley (nee Mjelde) Helmkamp; he graduated from Waukegan 
7High School in 1970 and married Amy Blair on June 12, 1976; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Thomas Helmkamp owned and operated Helmkamp 
9Overhead Door, THE Carwash, and the Wash and Roll Car Wash in 
10Waukegan; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Thomas Helmkamp and his wife enjoyed playing with 
12their grandchildren and visiting with family and friends by the 
13pool; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Thomas Helmkamp was preceded in death by his 
15parents; sister, Beth Helmkamp Cody; niece, Rachel Lynn Ochoa; 
16and nephew, Scott Cody; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Thomas Helmkamp is survived by his wife of 38 
18years, Amy Helmkamp; their 2 children, Thomas (Heidi) Helmkamp 
19and Heather (Mike) Noyer; grandchildren, Kamryn and Kaileigh 
20Helmkamp and Hunter and Dustin Noyer; sisters, Debra (Bob)

1Plantz and Sandra Futch; brother, Daniel Helmkamp; nieces and 
2nephews, Amanda (Jordan) Strickland, Brett (Stephanie) Cody, 
3and Ryan Futch; and many other loved ones; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Thomas Albert Helmkamp, and extend our sincere condolences to 
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Thomas Helmkamp as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
