SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Chester S. Blackowicz of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on August 1, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Chester Blackowicz was born on January 30, 1925 in 
6North Chicago and was a lifelong resident of the area; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Chester Blackowicz served his country as a member 
8of the United States Army during World War II; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Chester Blackowicz was a member of St. Anastasia 
10Parish and the American Legion Homer Dahringer Post 281; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Chester Blackowicz was preceded in death by a 
12daughter, Susan Vazquez; a son, Stanley Blackowicz; his 
13parents, Stanley and Mary Blackowicz; and his brothers and 
14sisters; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Chester Blackowicz is survived by his wife of 60 
16years, Dora (nee Dapkus) Blackowicz; 3 sons, Charles 
17Blackowicz, Steven (Mary Ann) Blackowicz, and Joseph 
18Blackowicz; 7 grandchildren, Steven, Kyle, Kevin, Jennifer, 
19Michelle, Mark, and Matthew; a sister-in-law, Jean Blackowicz; 
20and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Chester S. Blackowicz; 
4and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Chester Blackowicz as an expression 
7of our sympathy.
