SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  William Freund of McHenry, who passed 
4away on July 5, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, William Freund was born on November 20, 1941; his 
6parents were Walter and Ann (nee Meyers) Freund; he married 
7Kathleen "Katie" Goulding on August 4, 1973 at St. John's in 
8Johnsburg; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, After working hard for over 45 years, William 
10Freund was able to relax and enjoy his two great loves, his 
11family and the Green Bay Packers; he also enjoyed watching Cubs 
12games and visiting national parks in the West; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, William Freund was preceded in death by his 
14parents and his father-in-law, Geoffrey Goulding; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, William Freund is survived by his wife, Katie; his 
16children, Dan (Jennifer) Freund, Matt (Tammera) Freund, Mandy 
17Freund, and Justin (Genevieve) Freund; 6 grandchildren, 
18Justin, Oliver, Ashley, Abby, Reese, and Merrick; 2 brothers, 
19Ron (Joanne) Freund and Jerry (Ann) Freund; 2 sisters, Judi 
20(Wade) Clement and Debbie (Rick) Strom; and his mother-in-law, 
21Betty Goulding; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of William Freund; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of  William Freund as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
