| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Richard Bruens of McHenry, who passed |
| 4 | | away on July 19, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Bruens was born on November 2, 1940 in |
| 6 | | Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his parents were Anthony Richard and Mary |
| 7 | | Jane (nee Peckenpaugh) Bruens; he married LaVerne Klajbor on |
| 8 | | October 14, 1967 at St. Mary of Perpetual Help Church in |
| 9 | | Chicago; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Richard Bruens served his country as a member of |
| 11 | | the United States Army from 1960 until 1966; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Richard Bruens worked with the Santa Fe Burlington |
| 13 | | Northern Railroad for 40 years; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Richard Bruens enjoyed golfing, collecting coins, |
| 15 | | baseball cards, and stamps, and telling stories; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Richard Bruens was a devout Catholic and a member |
| 17 | | of the Church of Holy Apostles; he was also a member of the |
| 18 | | McHenry Polish Legion Post #188 and Knights of Columbus; and |
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Richard Bruens was preceded in death by his wife, |
