SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Jeanette C. Odean of Crystal Lake, who 
4passed away on June 15, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeanette Odean was born on June 1, 1930 in 
6Chicago; her parents were Heinrich and Clara (nee Ehlert) 
7Dautel; she married William C. Odean on March 7, 1953; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jeanette Odean worked all her life until her 
9retirement at the age of 79; she was a highly skilled 
10administrator and manager who was well regarded by all who 
11worked with her; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Jeanette Odean was a long time Sunday school 
13teacher; she was also active in scouting and other youth 
14programs; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jeanette Odean was preceded in death by her 
16parents and a daughter, Marilyn; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Jeanette Odean is survived by her husband of 61 
18years, William "Bill" Odean; 4 children, Geoffrey Odean, Martin 
19(Odette) Odean, Richard Odean, and Holly (Bryan) Carpenter; 
20many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Clare

1(Rudolph) Bellon; a brother, Henry (Carol) Dautel; and many 
2nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Jeanette C. Odean; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Jeanette Odean as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
