| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Joan Provencio of Woodstock, who passed |
| 4 | | away on June 1, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joan Provencio was born on October 3, 1934 in Cold |
| 6 | | Springs, Minnesota; her parents were Andrew and Marion (nee |
| 7 | | Pryor) Slight; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Joan Provencio served as a volunteer and worked |
| 9 | | for Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos Orphanage in Mexico and served |
| 10 | | as Madre to thousands of children; she retired in 2010 as the |
| 11 | | Executive Director of NPH International; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Joan Provencio was preceded in death by her |
| 13 | | parents; her husband, Al Provencio; a sister, Marilyn Long; and |
| 14 | | 2 cousins, Katherine McDonough and Janet Cremin; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Joan Provencio is survived by her cousin, Betty |
| 16 | | (George) Boesen; 3 nieces, Mary (Brian) Fodor, Patty (Rusty) |
| 17 | | Williams, and Susan Long; a nephew, Andy (Sharon) Long; and her |
| 18 | | NPH family throughout the world; therefore, be it
