SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of McKenzie Lauren Phlipot of Chicago, who 
4passed away on May 8, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, McKenzie Phlipot, who was 12 years old at the time 
6of her passing, played the guitar and enjoyed music; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, McKenzie Phlipot's family remembers her love of 
8nature and the outdoors and the joy she experienced while 
9playing and hanging out with her cousins at the lake; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, McKenzie Phlipot is survived by her mother, Beth 
11Martin; her father, Travis Phlipot; her grandmother, Phyllis 
12Martin, and the many aunts, uncles, and cousins who also loved 
13her; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, McKenzie Phlipot was preceded in death by her 
15grandfather, Edward "Pepper" Martin; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The death of a child is always particularly 
17poignant; the members of this chamber extend their heartfelt 
18condolences to all who loved and nurtured and encouraged 
19McKenzie Phlipot and keenly feel her absence now; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of McKenzie Lauren 
4Phlipot; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of McKenzie Phlipot as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
