SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Raymond J. Wojciechowski of Johnsburg, 
4who passed away on May 2, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Wojciechowski was born in Chicago on May 
66, 1927 to Walter J. and Josephine Wojciechowski; he served in 
7the United States Army and Air Force, serving during World War 
8II and the Korean War; he married Margaret R. Melka on April 
924, 1954; and
  
 
  
10    WHEREAS, Raymond Wojciechowski enjoyed traveling, 
11gambling, garage sales, poker, gardening, and especially, 
12spending time with his grandchildren; he was a member of the 
13McHenry Moose Lodge 691 and the Knights of Columbus  Council 
149167 of Johnsburg and was active with the Boy Scouts; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Raymond Wojciechowski was preceded in death by his 
16parents; brothers, Steve and Theodore "Ted"; and sisters, 
17Betty, Bernice, and Elaine; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Raymond Wojciechowski is survived by his wife of 
1960 years, Margaret; 5 children, Diane (Bill) Stark, Regina 
20(Rick) Budinger, Paul (Laura) Wojciechowski, Mark (Carol) 
21Wojciechowski, and Janet (Keith) Bundgard; grandchildren,

1Melissa, Tim, Erik, Stephanie, Kyle, Max, Bridget, Chloe, and 
2Raymond; and great-grandchildren, Trevor, Madison, and Dylan; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Raymond J. Wojciechowski, and extend our sincere condolences to 
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Raymond Wojciechowski as an 
11expression of our deepest sympathy.
