SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Lawrence C. Szempruch of Gurnee, formerly 
4of Chicago, who passed away on April 18, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch was a production manager in 
6printing and sales before retiring; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch served his country as a United 
8States Marine in Korea; he was also actively involved in the 
9United States Marine Corps League of Lake County, especially 
10Young Marines, Color Guard, and Toys For Tots; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch enjoyed fishing and shared 
12this passion with his family and friends; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch was preceded in death by his 
14parents, Chester and Mary Ann, and his wife, Bernadine; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch is survived by a daughter, 
16Laura (Larry) Otter; a son, Brian Szempruch; siblings, Patricia 
17Whitlock, Diane (Jim) Flebbe, and Walter Szempruch; and many 
18nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Lawrence C. Szempruch; 
3and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Lawrence Szempruch as an expression 
6of our sympathy.
