SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Bruce J. Lewin of Waukegan, who passed 
4away on March 24, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin was born on November 4, 1941 in 
6Chicago; he married Sondra Wald in Waukegan on November 9, 
71984; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin retired as an Executive Sales 
9Representative from Merck Pharmaceuticals in 2001 after 33 
10years of service; following his retirement from Merck, he 
11served as a substitute teacher at Beach Park schools; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin enjoyed traveling, reading, watching 
13car races, and spending time with his family; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin was preceded in death by his parents; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Bruce Lewin is survived by his wife of 29 years, 
17Sondra; his children, Robert (Kimberly) Wald, Rachel (Gary) 
18Modica, Robin Lewin, and Jennifer Lewin; his grandchildren, 
19Taylor "Shorty" Wald, Anthony "Monkey Baby" Modica, and Marissa 
20"Rissa Roo" Modica; his brother, Dave Lewin; and his sister,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Bruce J. Lewin; and be 
5it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Bruce Lewin as an expression of our 
8sympathy.
