| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Ronald J. Stachowicz of Geneva, who |
| 4 | | passed away on March 15, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Stachowicz was born on February 7, 1940 in |
| 6 | | Chicago; his parents were Casimir and Irene (nee Borkowski) |
| 7 | | Stachowicz; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Stachowicz grew up in the Bucktown |
| 9 | | neighborhood of Chicago and attended Gordon Tech High School; |
| 10 | | he subsequently graduated from Northern Illinois University; |
| 11 | | and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Stachowicz served his country as a member |
| 13 | | of the United States Marine Corps; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Stachowicz was the owner and operator of |
| 15 | | Stachowicz Business Forms for many years; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Stachowicz was a resident of Geneva for 42 |
| 17 | | years and was very involved in the Geneva community; he was an |
| 18 | | avid fan of Geneva sports; he was a Pride Volunteer at Harrison |
| 19 | | Elementary School and served as a Scoutmaster; he proudly |
| 20 | | served on the "Chain Gang" at Geneva football games and was |

| 1 | | both a coach and board member for Tri Cities Soccer; he was |
| 2 | | also a member of the American Legion and St. Peter Catholic |
| 3 | | Church; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Stachowicz enjoyed fishing and was an |
| 5 | | amateur magician to the great entertainment of his family, |
| 6 | | friends, and acquaintances; and |
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Stachowicz was preceded in death by his |
| 8 | | parents and his step-father, Edmund Grzeszczak; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Stachowicz is survived by his wife of 46 |
| 10 | | years, Sally (nee Smith); his children, Karen (Christopher) |
| 11 | | Genders and David (Kathryn) Stachowicz; his grandchildren, |
| 12 | | Ethan and Morgan Genders and Lauren, Ryen, and Eleanor |
| 13 | | Stachowicz; his sisters, Armella (Ted) Schuh and Therese |
| 14 | | (Christopher) Cecil; his brother, Steve (Connie) Grzeszczak; |
| 15 | | and his many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
|
| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
| 18 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Ronald J. Stachowicz; |
| 19 | | and be it further

| 20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 21 | | presented to the family of Ronald Stachowicz as an expression |
