SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  James H. Davis of Peoria, who passed away 
4on March 20, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Davis was born on June 2, 1932 in Frankford, 
6Missouri; his parents were Jessie James and Elenora (nee 
7Blackwell) Davis; he married Marjorie Davis on July 29, 1983 in 
8Hannibal, Missouri; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Davis served his country as a member of the 
10United States Army during the Korean Conflict; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, James Davis worked at Sears & Roebuck as a 
12forklift driver; he also worked as an 18-wheel driver for 
13American Recreation Products Inc.; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, James Davis was preceded in death by his parents; 
15his brothers, Junior Campbell and Wayne Campbell; and his 
16sisters, Barbara Williams and Della Mae Campbell; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, James Davis is survived by his wife of 30 years, 
18Marjorie Davis; his sons, Henry (Sally) Blackwell and Sheldon 
19Davis; his daughter, Linda Davis; his brothers, Gaylon (Kara) 
20Davis, Carlos (Renee) Davis, Mike (Elaine) Davis, and Jim

1(Kris) Davis; his sisters, Doris Ann Keys and Jessica Davis; 
2and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore,

4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of James H. Davis; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of James Davis as an expression of our 
10sympathy.
