SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Ronald J. Kress of Crystal Lake, who 
4passed away on February 22, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronald Kress was born to Frank and Viola (nee 
6Conner) Kress; he married Bonnie Nielsen on October 28, 1960; 
7he served his country in the United States Air Force;  and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Ronald Kress retired from FedEx after 27 years as 
9a District Director of the Chicago-Metro District; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Ronald Kress enjoyed planning vacations for his 
11family, golfing, and playing blackjack on his boat; his 
12favorite holiday was Christmas, which exemplified his generous 
13spirit; and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, Ronald Kress was the father of Robert (Melissa) 
15and Jennifer Kress; grandfather of Kristen and Kaylen Kress, 
16Jesse Perez, and Beau Kolba; brother of Roy (Evelyn) Hungate, 
17Debbie Pierson, Lola Garza, William Dame, Nancy Dame, Ralph 
18(Eva) Pinkonsly, and Bob (Doris) Swanson; and uncle to many 
19nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Ronald J. Kress, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Ronald Kress as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
