SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  David A. Murrey of Fox Lake, who passed 
4away on February 21, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, David Murrey was born on March 27, 1948 in Oak 
6Park; his parents were Thomas D. and Loretta (nee Buikema) 
7Murrey; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, In 1973, David Murrey and his brother Greg formed 
9a partnership and began Murrey Trucking; in 1979, they 
10purchased a towing company; the business subsequently formed 
11into Price Wrecker Services (DBA Price Services); and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, David Murrey was a founding member of the North 
13American Rail Car Association and a founding member of Sons of 
14American Legion Post 703, where he was a member for 49 years; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, David Murrey loved tinkering, trains, and 
17animals; and
 
18    WHEREAS, David Murrey was preceded in death by his brother, 
19Thomas R. Murrey, and his parents; and

1    WHEREAS, David Murrey is survived by his daughter, Kelly 
2(Mike Haidacher) Murrey; his siblings, Greg (Mary Johnson) 
3Murrey, Kathleen (John) Pletz, and Patrick (Ginny) Murrey; and 
4his many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of David A. Murrey; and 
8be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of David Murrey as an expression of our 
11sympathy.
