| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Denny Ayala of St. Charles, who passed |
| 4 | | away on January 18, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was born on September 18, 1921 in |
| 6 | | Round Rock, Texas; his parents were Simon and Augustina Ayala; |
| 7 | | he grew up in Geneva and graduated from Geneva High School; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala served his country as a member of the |
| 9 | | United States Marine Corps during World War II; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was employed at Elgin Community |
| 11 | | College for over 27 years until his retirement in 2012; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was a devoted member of St. Patrick |
| 13 | | Catholic Church, where he was known for opening the door for |
| 14 | | daily Mass each morning for over 42 years; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was preceded in death by his loving |
| 16 | | wife; his son, Denny, Jr.; his daughter, Susan; and his |
| 17 | | great-grandson, Blake; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala survived by his children, Larry |
| 19 | | (Ettie) Ayala, Linda (Edward) Peterson, Anita Ayala, Darlene |
