SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Daniel Playfair Field of Lake Forest, who 
4passed away on January 27, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Daniel Field graduated from the College of Liberal 
6Arts and Sciences of the University of Illinois at 
7Urbana-Champaign with honors in 1971, where he was a member of 
8Phi Beta Kappa; he subsequently earned his Juris Doctor degree 
9from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1974; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, From 1975 and 1982, Daniel Field prosecuted all 
11types of criminal cases as an Assistant State's Attorney in 
12Peoria County and Lake County; he served as a Special Assistant 
13State's Attorney for Lake County since 1985; he was also 
14appointed special counsel by various municipalities, school 
15boards, fire protection districts, and sanitary districts in 
16Lake County; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Daniel Field was preceded in death by his parents, 
18Edward and Virginia Field; and

  
 
19    WHEREAS, Daniel Field is survived by his beloved wife of 31 
20years, Kathleen (nee Donlon); his loving children, Emily Field, 
21Andrew (Kelsey) Field, and Katherine Field; and his siblings,

1Capt. Michael (Lorraine) Field (ret.) and Priscilla 
2(Christopher) Nugent; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Daniel Playfair Field; 
6and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Daniel Field as an expression of our 
9sympathy.
