SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Raymond G. Chisholm of Cary, who passed 
4away on February 4, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm was born on February 16, 1941 in 
6Pampa, Texas to Raymond M. "Jack" and Minerva Chisholm; he 
7served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; after 
8his service, he attended Texas Tech University and the 
9University of Georgia, where he received his master's degree; 
10and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm worked for the Arlington Heights 
12Police Department for 20 years; he owned and operated the 
13Colonel in Ringwood for a number of years and served on the 
14Cary Village Board for 8 years; he was active in the McHenry 
15County Republican Party; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm enjoyed traveling, especially to 
17Branson, Missouri and Hawaii; he had a special love of dogs and 
18supported animal rescue services in the area; he was a member 
19of Cary AmVets; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm was preceded in death by his 
21parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm is survived by his longtime 
2companion, Terri Anderson, and his special buddy, Colton Turck; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Raymond Chisholm, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Raymond Chisholm as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
