| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of James Henry Hollins, Sr. of Joliet, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 5, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Hollins, Sr. was born on August 15, 1928 in |
| 6 | | Pinola, Mississippi to William and Naomi Hollins; he served his |
| 7 | | country in the United States Marines for 23 years; he fought in |
| 8 | | 2 wars and received numerous medals and accolades; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, James Hollins, Sr. was retired from EJ & E |
| 10 | | Railroad, where he was in marketing analysis for many years; in |
| 11 | | retirement, he established Hollins Tax & Accounting which he |
| 12 | | operated for 33 years in the Joliet area; he retired in 2004; |
| 13 | | and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, James Hollins, Sr. was preceded in death by his |
| 15 | | wife, Annie Credle Hollins; his sons, Johnnie Smith and James |
| 16 | | Albert Heath; and his grandson, Malcolm Kent Tramel; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, James Hollins, Sr. is survived by his children, |
| 18 | | Jackie (Skip) Lee, Debra (Errie) Perrie, and James H. Hollins, |
| 19 | | Jr.; his 5 sisters; his 2 brothers; and a host of |
| 20 | | grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; |
