SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Derrick Little of Waukegan, who passed 
4away on December 9, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Derrick Little was born on October 18, 1967 in 
6Eutawville, South Carolina to Gary and Mabel Little; he 
7graduated from Holly Hill Roberts High School in Holly Hill, 
8South Carolina in 1985 and  joined the United States Army, 
9serving for 20 years as a Chief Petty Officer; he married 
10Christine E. Scott in September of 1991; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Derrick Little was employed at the Veterans 
12Affairs Medical Center in North Chicago and the Lake Forest 
13Hospital as a sterilization technician; and
  
 

  
14    WHEREAS, Derrick Little is survived by his wife, Christine; 
15his sons, Derrick and David Little; his parents, Gary and Mable 
16Little; his sisters, Rosalind (Keith) Gillard and Carolina 
17(David) Oliver; his cousin, Curtis Oliver; his 6 
18brothers-in-law; his 5 sisters-in-law; and a host of nephews, 
19nieces, cousins; and many, many friends; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Derrick Little, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Derrick Little as an expression of
