SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Lawrence W. Leeke, Jr. of McHenry, who 
4passed away on December 14, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lawrence Leeke, Jr. was born on May 4, 1941 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Lawrence Leeke, Sr. and Jane (nee 
7Henderson) Leeke; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Lawrence Leeke, Jr. was a retired electrician and 
9a proud member of International Brotherhood of Electrical 
10Workers Local 134; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Lawrence Leeke, Jr. enjoyed playing golf, 
12bowling, fishing, and pinochle; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Lawrence Leeke, Jr. was preceded in death by his 
14wife, Sandra (nee Felix) Leeke, and his parents; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Lawrence Leeke, Jr. is survived by his dear 
16children, Dawn (Kevin) Denna, Michael Leeke, Larry (Eileen) 
17Leeke, and Lisa (Dan) Kearns; his granddaughter, Rosalie Masi; 
18and his siblings, Marion (Chuck) Schwake, Thelma Nelson, 
19Dorothy Brissette, Thomas (Lois) Leeke, James (Sally) Leeke, 
20and Lorrain (Douglas) Damrow; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Lawrence W. Leeke, 
4Jr.; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Lawrence Leeke, Jr. as an expression 
7of our sympathy.
