SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of David J. Tietjen of Crystal Lake, who 
4passed away on December 25, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, David Tietjen was born in McHenry on September 29, 
61931 to Nikolaus and Anna (nee Klintworth) Tietjen; he attended 
7Prairie Grove and Immanuel Lutheran Schools and served his 
8country in the United States Army; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, David Tietjen farmed in the Crystal Lake area most 
10of his life; he also worked for the Nunda Township Road 
11District for many years; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, David Tietjen was preceded in death by his 
13parents; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, David Tietjen is survived by his sister, Annie 
15(John) Holsten; his brother, Siegfried (Dorothy) Tietjen; his 
16niece, Shirley (Don) Freese; and his nephews, Jim (JoAnn) 
17Holsten, William (Carol) Tietjen, John Tietjen, and Bob 
18Tietjen; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1David J. Tietjen, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
3further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
