SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Virginia J. (nee Pellegrini) Maffeo of 
4Joliet, who passed away on December 21, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Virginia Maffeo was born in Joliet on August 1, 
61920 to Robert G. and Louise (nee Tapella) Pellegrini; she 
7married Joseph Maffeo; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Virginia Maffeo was an active member of St. 
9Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Patrick's Council of Catholic 
10Women, and the Young at Heart/55 Club for many years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Virginia Maffeo was preceded in death by her 
12husband, Joseph; her parents; and her brother, John (Frances) 
13Pellegrini; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Virginia Maffeo is survived by her sons, James 
15(Denise) Maffeo and John Maffeo, Doctor of Dental Surgery; her 
16grandchildren, Anthony (Angie) Maffeo and Lisa Maffeo; her 
17great-grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, and Mia Maffeo; and many 
18nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Virginia J. Maffeo, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
