SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Thomas J. McManus; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Thomas McManus retired as the General 
5Superintendent of the City of Chicago Department of Water after 
6many years of service; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Thomas McManus was a loyal and dedicated member 
8and officer of the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Union Local 130 
9for over 50 years; he retired from Local 130 as a Business 
10Agent; and

  
 
11    WHEREAS, Thomas McManus was the devoted husband of Ginny 
12(nee Dwyer); the loving father of Laura (Louie) Gonzales and 
13Kathleen (Michael) Tierney; the proud grandfather of Tommy 
14Gonzales; the dear brother of Kathleen and the late James 
15McManus; the son of the late Thomas and Beatrice McManus; and 
16the fond uncle of many; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
19family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas J. McManus; and 
20be it further
