SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Patty J. Brake of Alton, who passed away 
4on December 2, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Patty Brake was born on January 17, 1932 in Alton; 
6her parents were Herbert and Helen (nee Gillespie) Ohley; she 
7married Charles William Brake on June 30, 1950; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Patty Brake was a member of the Three Rivers Rose 
9Society; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Patty Brake enjoyed tending to her flower garden 
11and watching the St. Louis Cardinals; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Patty Brake is preceded in death by her parents; 
13her son, Charles Allan Brake; and her daughters, Connie and 
14Jeannie Brake; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Patty Brake is survived by her husband, Charles; 
16her children and their spouses, William Brake and Gary Sides, 
17Edward and Mary Brake, Donna and Daniel Bizaillion, and John 
18and Mindy Brake; her daughter-in-law, Joy Brake; her brother 
19and sister-in-law, Herb and Yvonne Ohley; her grandchildren and 
20their spouses, David and Robin Brake, Jennifer and Gene Capps,

1Kelby Brake, Ian Brake, Jordan Brake, Mariah, Emily, and Jacob 
2Bizaillion, and CJ Brake; her great-grandchildren, Austin 
3Purkey, Caden Brake, and Evelyn Brake; her many nieces and 
4nephews; and her many friends; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Patty J. Brake; and be 
8it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Patty Brake as an expression of our 
11sympathy.
