| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Richard C. Kazimier of Spring Grove, who |
| 4 | | passed away on November 30, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier was born on November 20, 1930 in |
| 6 | | Chicago; his parents were Julian and Irene (nee Anielewski) |
| 7 | | Kazimier; he married Phyllis Haacker on August 20, 1952 in |
| 8 | | Chicago; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier served his country as a member of |
| 10 | | the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier was employed as a mold maker in |
| 12 | | the tool and die industry and served as a shop foreman for many |
| 13 | | years; he also owned and operated the Lazy K Campground in |
| 14 | | Spring Grove for over 22 years until his retirement; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier was a member of the Community |
| 16 | | Church of Richmond, where he served as chairman of the board of |
| 17 | | trustees' he was a 50-year member and past master of Ben Hur |
| 18 | | Lodge #818 and a member of the Scottish Rite; he was also a |
| 19 | | former member and past secretary of the Richmond Rotary Club; |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier enjoyed collecting and working |
| 2 | | on Model HO gauge trains, listening to classical and organ |
| 3 | | music, fishing, camping, traveling, and family activities; and |
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier was preceded in death by his |
| 5 | | granddaughter, Jennifer Stewart, and his brother, Henry |
| 6 | | Kazimier; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Richard Kazimier is survived by his wife of 61 |
| 8 | | years, Phyllis; his children, David (Char) Kazimier, Karen |
| 9 | | (Steven Sandberg) Lynn, Philip (Julie) Kazimier, Kenneth |
| 10 | | (Cheryl) Kazimier, and Laura Kazimier; his grandchildren Carl, |
| 11 | | Kevin, Heather, Jason, Patricia, Kathryn, William, Matthew, |
| 12 | | and Sarah; and his great-grandchildren, Kayla and Hannah |
| 13 | | Richard; therefore, be it
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
| 16 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard C. Kazimier; |
| 17 | | and be it further
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 19 | | presented to the family of Richard Kazimier as an expression of |
| 20 | | our sympathy.
