SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Virginia "Ginny" Clemonds of Plainview, 
4who passed away on October 8, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Virginia Clemonds was born on July 4, 1922 in 
6Planview to Edgar J. and Clara Elizabeth (nee Coffee) Fuess; 
7she married John H. Clemonds on November 20, 1941 in St. 
8Charles, Missouri; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Virginia Clemonds, along with her husband, was the 
10owner and operator of the Barn Restaurant in Gillespie; she 
11also worked as a nurse at the "Old Carlinville Hospital"; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Virginia Clemonds was a member of the Knitting 
13Group at Zion Lutheran Church; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Virginia Clemonds was preceded in death by her 
15parents; her husband, John; her brother, Charles Peters; and 
16her son-in-law, State Senator Vince Demuzio; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Virginia Clemonds is survived by her daughter, 
18former State Senator Deanna Demuzio; her grandson, Brad 
19Demuzio; her granddaughter, Stephanie (Patrick) Blair; her 
20great-grandchildren, Blake Demuzio, Brooke Demuzio, Tristan

1Blair, and Gillian Blair; and her sister, Jacquelyn (Kenny) 
2Klaus; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Virginia "Ginny" Clemonds, and extend our sincere condolences 
6to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Virginia Clemonds as an expression 
10of our deepest sympathy.
