SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Lou "Sonny" Svadlenka of Crystal Lake, 
4who passed away on October 29, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lou Svadlenka was born on August 29, 1945 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Wanda (nee Bukowiecki) and Edward 
7Svadlenka; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Lou Svadlenka retired from IBM after 43 years of 
9service; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Lou Svadlenka was an active member of his 
11community throughout his lifetime; he was a member of The Boy 
12Scouts of America, Toastmasters, the Illinois League of 
13Cyclists, and Junior Achievement; he also taught religious 
14education courses and was a donor for Gift of Hope; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Lou Svadlenka was preceded in death by his 
16parents; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Lou Svadlenka is survived by his wife of 45 years, 
18Cheryl (nee Wiese); his children, Stacey Svadlenka, Robert 
19(Lorrie) Svadlenka, and Nikki (Michael) LoPresti; and his 
20grandchildren, Sterling and Haylie Anderson and Luke and

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Lou "Sonny" Svadlenka; 
5and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Lou Svadlenka as an expression of 
8our sympathy.
