SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Glenda Green of Waukegan, who passed away 
4on October 11, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Glenda Green was born in Sheffield, Alabama on 
6September 10, 1952 to Alvie L. and Lennie P. (nee Smith) Green; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Glenda Green worked as a caseworker with Warren 
9Township for 14 years and owned and operated White Lightning 
10Cleaning in Gurnee for 13 years; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Glenda Green was preceded in death by her 
12daughter, Ashley Sparks and her brother, Michael Green; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Glenda Green was the beloved daughter of Alvie L. 
14and Lennie P. Smith; the loving mother of Tina (Tim) Turner and 
15Tiffany (Eric) King; the doting grandmother of Matthew and 
16Mason Turner and Kayleigh and Cameron King; the dear sister of 
17Kathy (Julio) Polanco, Donna Roberts, and Tony (Sarah) Green; 
18the adored aunt of 10 and the great-aunt of 4; and fond cousin 
19of many; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Glenda Green, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
3friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Glenda Green as an expression of our 
6deepest sympathy.
