SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Edward Anthony Cummins; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Edward Cummins served as a teacher at Austin High 
5School for 38 years until his retirement; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Edward Cummins served his country as a member of 
7the United States Army during the Korean War; and

  
 
8    WHEREAS, Edward Cummins was the beloved husband of Mary 
9(nee Shanley); the loving father of Marie, Anthony (Janet), and 
10Patrick (Amy); the cherished grandfather of Owen and Erin; the 
11dear brother of James, Bernice Hernandez, and the late Eileen; 
12and the fond uncle and cousin of many; therefore, be it
  
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
15family and friends, mourn the passing of Edward Anthony 
16Cummins; and be it further
  
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
18presented to the family of Edward Cummins as an expression of 
19our sympathy.
