SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Vera Veljkovic of Waukegan, who passed 
4away on September 13, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic was born on November 19, 1925 in 
6Serbia; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic enjoyed gardening and knitting; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic was a member of Most Holy Mother of 
10God Serbian Orthodox Church in Third Lake; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic was preceded in death by her 
12husband, Miodrag; her 2 brothers; and her sister; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic is survived by her sons, Vojislav 
14Veljkovic and Branko (Vesna) Veljkovic; her daughter, Donka 
15Stefanovic; her 7 grandchildren; her 3 great-grandchildren; 
16and her sister, Rada Flesher; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
19family and friends, mourn the passing of Vera Veljkovic; and be
