| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of James P. "Jim" Hartke of Crystal Lake, |
| 4 | | who passed away on September 16, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Hartke was born October 3, 1950 in Chicago; |
| 6 | | his parents were George and Patricia Hartke; he married Laura |
| 7 | | L. Cantrell on July 11, 1981 in Cary; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jim Hartke taught physical education for 35 years; |
| 9 | | he served as athletic director and coached volleyball and |
| 10 | | basketball at Cary Junior High School; he also served as a |
| 11 | | coach in the community Cary Youth Baseball and Cary basketball |
| 12 | | programs for many years; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jim Hartke enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading, |
| 14 | | watching the Chicago White Sox, and spending time with his |
| 15 | | family; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jim Hartke is survived by his wife, Laura Hartke; |
| 17 | | his children, Eric (Ashley) Hartke and Trisha Hartke; his |
| 18 | | siblings, Michael (Kathleen) Hartke, Gail (Jay) McNalis, and |
| 19 | | Jack (Anne) Hartke; his mother-in-law, Kay Mueller; his |
| 20 | | sister-in-law, Valerie (Steve) Kulovsek; his brother-in-law, |
| 21 | | Billy (Jeanne) Cantrell; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, |
